Singapore leading Asia in ICT

Singapore is leading Asia in Information and Communications Technologies according to the World Economic Forum. The South-East Asian business hub was ranked 4th on the Networked-Readiness Index (NRI) of the The Global Information Technology Report 2008-2009.

I recommend you to read my post Singapore determined to master the storm for more information on Singapore’s economy.

Being a global bussiness hub, Singapore is heavily dependent on external trade. Consequently, the country is quite exposed to the effects of the financial crisis. However, it is certainly in a much better shape than most other countries to overcome this crisis.

In less than two weeks, I’ll travel to Singapore and report daily about the city state which has been an economic success story for decades.
