my first day in Tokyo
Less than 10 hours ago I arrived at Tokyo`s Narita Airport. Since then I`ve already seen some of Tokyo`s highlights: the Asakusa district where my hotel is located (right on the edge of Sumida River, opposite of the famous headquarters of the Asahi brewery), Ginza (Tokyo`s most upscale shopping area), the Tokyo International Forum (a futuristic building which offers some great views over the surrounding Ginza district), and last but not least Tokyo station. Especially Asakusa is a must-see because of its authentic little Japanese restaurants, shops and temples.
At first Tokyo`s public transportation system appeared to be rather confusing to me but thanks to a friend who`s living in Tokyo and who explained me how to use trains here and showed me around the places I mentioned, I now find it pretty easy to explore this mega city using public trains from JR and Metro Tokyo.
The weather is great, it`s quite warm and rather sunny, though some clouds pass by from time to time.
I`m going to upload lots of photos in the next few days, but for now I don`t have a fast internet access.
Keep reading my posts as I am getting used to this Japanese keyboard which is driving me crazy by regularly interrupting my text with Japanese characters like どぇ案 …

Thank you for your help in answering a couple questions I had on this very subject you just wrote about.
