the new GM: efficiency & simplicity

After its comprehensive restructuring, General Motors has come up with a revolutionary  idea: Bare Necessities.

Cars and trucks which are very simple, efficient and affordable. No expensive gadgets, no LCD screens, no automatically adjusting seats, ….

The Bare Necessities Car and Truck will get a high fuel efficiency due to their light weight design. One of the designers of the Chevrolet Volt semi-electric car developed the concept after assessing the needs of the environmentally responsible customer who does not necessarily want an expensive, high tech eco car, but a simple and efficient car for everyday use.

It`s encouraging to see that GM is paying more attention to the needs of its customers again. If GM manages to stay on that path and comes up with some innovative cars suitable for an era of high energy prices, this is a promising development.
